Terms of service
Last updated 28 October 2026
Draft for review. Written from how the app actually works, but not yet checked by a lawyer. Do not rely on it as final.
The service
Susu Tracker ("the app") is run by the Susu Tracker operator. It helps a group of people agree a savings rotation, collect each round's contributions by mobile money, and pay the pool to that round's recipient. By creating an account you agree to these terms.
Who can use it
You must be at least 18, live in Ghana, and use a Ghana mobile number and mobile money wallet that belong to you.
Groups and leaders
- The person who creates a group is its leader. The contribution amount, schedule and size are fixed once the first member joins.
- The rotation order is set by random draw, vote or the leader, and is locked when the leader starts the group. It cannot be changed afterwards.
- You are responsible for who you invite, and for only joining groups of people you trust. We do not check or guarantee any member.
Contributions
- Contributions are paid in the app through mobile money. Cash is not accepted in the app.
- You pay a small payment fee on top of your contribution. It is shown to you before you pay.
- A contribution counts only when the payment is confirmed.
Payouts
- When every member has paid for a round, the leader can request the payout to that round's recipient.
- Each payout is checked and approved by our team before it is sent, so it is not instant. The recipient is told when it is sent.
- The recipient bears a platform fee (currently 1% of the pool, up to GH₵ 5) and the mobile money transfer fee. Both are shown before the payout is requested.
- Payouts go to the mobile money number saved in the recipient's profile. Keep it correct: money sent to a wrong number we were given may not be recoverable.
Late payments, disputes and removal
- Each group has a grace period after the due date. When it ends without payment, a dispute is opened automatically.
- The leader or our team can resolve a dispute by granting an extension, adding a note or removing the member.
- A member who is removed forfeits what they have already paid: it stays in the pool and is not refunded.
What you must not do
- Use the app for fraud, money laundering or anything unlawful.
- Use someone else's phone number or mobile money wallet, or share your sign-in codes.
- Try to break, overload or get around the app's security.
Our responsibility
The app is a record-keeping and payment tool for groups. It is not a bank, and savings kept through it are not deposits. Payments are processed by FloatVault and the mobile money networks, and delays or failures on their side are outside our control. We work to keep the service running and your records accurate, but we cannot promise it will always be available or error free. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses that come from what other group members do or fail to do.
Ending your account
You can delete your account in the app when it has no open commitments (see the privacy policy). We may suspend an account that breaks these terms or puts others at risk.
Changes and law
We will tell you in the app before a change to these terms takes effect. These terms are governed by the laws of Ghana.
